ABOUT

Rachael Cusick is an audio producer and writer based on this wet rock called Earth. She approaches the world with a mix of joy, vulnerability, and curiosity. She can often be found at the ocean, or standing at the base of odd topics, shaking them until they drop down surprising stories she can share with strangers. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Vogue, The ABC, NPR, Slate, and Politico, and she has performed her stories live on stage at the Sydney Opera House and in historic venues across America with Pop-Up Magazine. After making stories on staff at Radiolab for six years, she now lives in Australia and works freelance. She is currently a National Geographic Explorer, tracing the ancient chemicals that quietly shape who we are.
